Drip Dry Trousers Revolutionized Stone Skipping in the ’70s

An advertisement from the 1970s for Drip Dry trousers. The slacks reportedly revolutionized the sport of Stone Skipping, by allowing skippers to wade into the water for a stance closer to the water, without incurring the wrath of their spouse.

“Skip Today, Dine Tonight” the ad copy read. “Your man will be taking home the fudge on Mackinac Island with a record setting skip during the day, but by evening his trousers will be dry and ready for fine dining.”
