Skip-On Skippin' Stones are composed of sand held together by a non-toxix binder. They disolve back into sand within three months of being skipped. United States Patent 4212462 was filed in 1978 for the stones which were manufactured by A. D. Design Services Inc. They generated a lot of controversy as the rules require allow "natural" stones to be skipped. (Photo courtesy of D. Glovak)
